Join the Church
At New City we believe that joining a church is one of the most important decisions you will make. Therefore, we want to help you as you think about joining New City.
If you are a committed follower of Christ and are committed to living the life he has called you to live in the New City community, we would love to talk to you about joining this church.
The process for joining New City is simple:
(1) Participate in the "Intro to New City" seminar.
This is a seminar designed to help you get to know the church (our Vision, Values, Beliefs, and Philosophy of ministry) as well as providing a basic framework for understanding the gospel, and the church's role in God's plan of redemption. The seminar is offered several times throughout the year.
(2) Read through and sign the membership covenant.
You will receive a hard copy of this at the seminar, or you can click here to download and print one out.
(3) Complete a membership interview with one of our church leaders.
The interview generally lasts about 30-45 minutes. During the interview, you will get to ask questions about the church. The leader will give you a chance to tell them about how Jesus is at work in your life and how you hope to involve yourself in the life of the church. It is often an extremely encouraging time for both the interviewer and the interviewee. (If you don't believe us, ask one of our members.) To schedule an interview, please contact Amy Samad.
*Note: Baptism is also required for church membership. If you have not yet been baptized, we'd be thrilled to baptize you during one of the New City worship services.
